Doctor Referrals

Keeping You and Your Doctor Informed.

Preliminary reports are sent to your referring doctor within a few days of your initial visit. If you need a sleep study, it will be scored, evaulated, and sent to your doctor in a timely manner. After brining your doctor up-to-date, The Sleep Institute will personally let you know the results of your sleep study firsthand.

Oxygen Care

Helping You Breathe Easier.

Every time you breathe your body releases carbon dioxide and then replaces it with oxygen. If your breathing capabilities are inadequate because of either illness or injury, the oxygen levels in your blood decrease. At this point you may require supplemental oxygen as provided by oxygen therapy.

Oxygen therapy is a vital component in respiratory care. The prescribed oxygen is inhaled along with normal air. Breathing prescribed oxygen therefore increased the amount of oxygen in your blood. The increased oxygen levels fuel the brain and muscle cells to help ease your hearts workload. Increased oxygen levels can also improve your breathing, mood, memory, and quality of sleep.

Address Your Sleep Issues

Diagnosing Your Sleep Problem.

Common Sleep Disorders Include:

Shift Work Sleep Disorder Insomnia Excessive Sleepiness Teeth Grinding Snoring Sleep Apnea Hypersomnia Restless Leg Syndrome Periodic Limb Movement Disorder Frequent Night Bathroom Visits Narcolepsy Chronic Fatigue

CPAP

Helping You Beat Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

We offer the most up-to-date CPAP machines for the treatment of sleep apnea. CPAP, which stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, is the most effective therapy for sleep apnea in the medical marketplace today. Our CPAP machines are the newest models with built-in heated humidifiers and are compact, extremely quiet and easy to use.

Each of our CPAP machines comes with a mask, which is worn during sleep periods. The mask is connected to a pump that gently opens the nasal passages at pressures that are high enough to overcome airway obstructions while breathing. With the newer CPAP’s the pressure actually drops with exhalation, making it easier to breathe.

The effect on sleep apnea symptoms as well as on overall sleep quality is instantaneous. Our patients usually report waking up the morning after their first CPAP therapy feeling like a completely new person.
